Pastor Shaquille N. Forbes is the lead pastor of Grace City Church Colorado, a church plant, located in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica to his parents Monique Burnett-James and Clive Forbes. Pastor Shaquille is the second of four children. He gave his life to the Lord at a very tender age, and has been an ardent working in the church ever since. 

Pastor Shaquille from a young age had a heart for teaching, which led him to pursue a career as an educator. He attended The Mico University College, where in pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling, with a minor in English Education. 

In May, 2015, Pastor Shaquille immigrated to the United States of America. He remained steadfast in his faith, despite being in a new country.  

He is a visionary, philanthropist and lover of God’s people. Perhaps it is the natural result of being Jamaican-born, or perhaps it is something more intentionally acquired—either way, Shaquille has mastered the art of loving people with a level of authenticity and intentionality that is almost palpable. 

Shaquille is an itinerant speaker, who has traveled extensively across the Caribbean, the United Kingdom, Canada and throughout the United States of America; preaching, teaching, encouraging and strengthening the faith of the people of God. 

Pastor Shaquille currently resides in Colorado Springs, and serves in the United States Army. He is the very loving father to his daughter, Gabriella Forbes. 

Pastor Shaquille, a man of great faith. After much prayer, he made the exciting decision to obey the call of God by planting a life-giving, spirit filled church in order to reach those who are far from God. It is his vision, that each weekend, people of diverse ethnicity will gather in person to love God, love people and change the city!
